Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Denpasar City will be 2.72 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.93.
Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in ten expenditure group indices, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.44 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.17 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.50 percent; health group at 0.37 percent; transportation group at 0.77 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.21 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.58 percent; education group of 5.95 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.90 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.12 percent. Meanwhile, the index for the expenditure group that experienced a decline was the clothing and footwear group by 0.55 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Denpasar City in February 2024 are 0.65 and 0.57 percent respectively.
