Abstract

In September 2024, year on year (y-on-y), Denpasar Municipality experienced inflation of 2.99 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 107.64.

Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in the CPI in nine expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group rose as high as 2.79 percent; clothing and footwear group as high as 0.73 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group as high as 0.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group as high as 2.06 percent; transportation group as high as 3.51 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups as high as 3.05 percent; education group as high as 4.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group as high as 8.58 percent; and the personal care and other services group as high as 4.19 percent. Meanwhile, two groups recorded a decline in the index, namely the health group, which fell by 0.97 percent and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.37 percent.

On a monthly basis (month to month / m-to-m), Denpasar Municipality recorded inflation of 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, year to date (y-to-d), inflation was recorded at 2.19 percent.
