Abstract

In December 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Denpasar City will be 2.69 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.16.

Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in nine expenditure group indices, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.40 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.05 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.55 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.68 percent; transportation group at 2.11 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.81 percent; education group at 4.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 8.33 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.73 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group index that experienced a decline was the health group by 0.72 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.88 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Denpasar City in December 2024 are 0.19 percent and 2.69 percent respectively.
