Abstract

In March 2024, Denpasar Municipality experienced an inflation as high as 3.43 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.85

Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in ten expenditure group indices, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.53 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.10 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.89 percent; health group at 0.21 percent; transportation group by 1.15 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.24 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.74 percent; education group at 6.12 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.85 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.69 percent. Meanwhile, the index for the expenditure group that experienced a decline was the clothing and footwear group by 0.47 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Denpasar City for March 2024 are 0.87 and 1.44 percent respectively.
